The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has postponed the civil service preliminary exam 2024 due to the general elections. Originally scheduled for May 26, the exam will now take place on June 16. Candidates can find the official notice on the website at upsc.gov.in. The general election for the 18th Lok Sabha will start on April 19.
The official notice states, “Due to the schedule of the impending General Election, the Commission has decided to postpone the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination – 2024, which also serves as the screening test for Indian Forest Service Examination, 2024, from 26-05-2024 to 16-06-2024.”
