Pune, Thursday – The Maharashtra State Board and Higher Secondary Education has announced the cut-off marks for the top 20 percentile of students aspiring to join the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The category-wise cut-offs for 2024 are as follows:
- General candidates and General EWS students: 378 marks
- OBC NCL candidates: 383 marks
- SC candidates: 364 marks
- ST candidates: 366 marks
These cut-offs have seen a significant increase compared to the previous year, which had the following cut-off marks:
- General and General EWS candidates: 348 marks
- OBC NCL candidates: 352 marks
- SC candidates: 331 marks
- ST candidates: 323 marks
This rise in cut-off marks reflects the increased competition and higher performance standards among students. Candidates seeking admission to the 23 IITs across the country can refer to these benchmarks while preparing their applications.
