The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has postponed the State Service Preliminary Examination 2024 and State Forest Service Examination 2024 to June 23, citing the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The exams were originally scheduled for April 28 but have been rescheduled to avoid overlapping with the election schedule. Admit cards for the exams will be released on June 12.
Following the decision by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to reschedule the Civil Services Examinations (CSE) 2024 due to the Lok Sabha elections, the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has also announced the postponement of two key exams.
The MPPSC has rescheduled the State Service Preliminary Examination 2024 and State Forest Service Examination 2024 to June 23, 2024. These exams were originally scheduled to be held on April 28 but have been postponed to avoid any clash with the Lok Sabha election schedule.
According to an official notice available on the MPPSC website, the decision to postpone the exams was taken in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, which are scheduled to be held in four phases between April 19 and May 13 on 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh. The counting of votes will take place on June 4.
The MPPSC will release the admit cards for these examinations on June 12, allowing candidates sufficient time to prepare for the rescheduled exams.
This decision by the MPPSC comes after the Election Commission announced the schedule for the 18th Lok Sabha elections in April – June 2024. The rescheduling of these exams aims to ensure that candidates are not inconvenienced due to overlapping schedules and can focus on both the exams and the election process effectively.
