Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor joined hands for director Sujeeth’s Saaho, which is wreaking havoc at the box office in India. The film has grossed over Rs 200 crore in just two days and is still continuing its dream run at the box office.
As reported earlier, the real litmus test for Saaho has begun on Monday as it marks the end of the long weekend. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed that there was a 41.81% drop in the collection and the rough estimate of the Hindi version of Saaho stands at around 14.20 crore.
The trade analyst wrote, “#Saaho collects in double digits on Day 4, aided by #GaneshChaturthi holiday [some parts of #India]… Mass centres strong… Tue-Thu biz crucial… #Saaho Fri 24.40 cr, Sat 25.20 cr, Sun 29.48 cr, Mon 14.20 cr. Total: ₹ 93.28 cr Nett BOC. #India biz. #Hindi version.”
Ever since Saaho opened in theatres, critics have slammed the film for being dumb and soulless. However, clever marketing has made sure that people flocked to theatres to catch the visual extravaganza in the opening weekend. A few trade analysts reveal that the collections might see a huge drop from today and this will determine whether Saaho will venture into the profit zone or not.
Saaho is a spy thriller produced by UV Creations in a huge budget of Rs 350 crore. While the cinematography and VFX were appreciated by everyone, the lack of coherent screenplay and story had let down the ardent fans.
